Mission Statement:

Our mission is to take advantage of the teachable moments that happens everyday by fostering the intellectual, creative, social, emotional, and physical growth and development of our students and to inspire a lifelong commitment to learning. We provide an environment that allows children to learn by doing --moving, from concrete, hands-on experiences to more abstract concept development. Our priority is to provide a healthy balance of child-directed and teacher-guided activities, as well as time for children to work individually, in small and large groups. We are a play-based preschool that provides a child-centered curriculum directed by teachers. We believe that our program reflects the needs and goals of children and families.

Accepting children ranging in age between 21/2 years to 5 years
Highly educated staff that receive continuing education yearly
School starts September and runs through June
Children go outside twice a day, weather permitting
Many parent and child activities

Who is your child's teacher?

My name is Ms Candy. I am widowed, have three children and three beautiful grandchildren. I love teaching your children. It is such a rewarding job, getting hugs, giving hugs. Your children are very important to me. When they walk

hrough our door, they are safe and cared for. I have worked for the church for 25 years. I have a associates degree in Early Childhood Education and I continue throughout the year to update my credentials in Early Childhood Education. I totally believe that children need to be moving with lots of hands on activities. Children are being pushed and always rushed to do something. So our pace is slow, and flexible. Children engage in what we offer. They love coming to preschool, because they are not being pushed to do something. I introduce everything to them so when they start Kindergarten, they will remember that we did the same thing in Preschool. Children are engaged in many activities throughout the day. We get messy, have fun, and the children are ready to come back and do it again!!!!

We are licensed by the State of Michigan for children agese 21/2- to 5 years of age.

Our goals

Provide a quality Christian program

Provide a safe, enriching environment

Allow children to become independent learners while exploring their world.

Providing age appropriate activities

Monthly calendars will be out at the end of each month. The calendar will tell you what are themes are for the month, any field trips, color days, alphabet days....
