Patrice obtained her license as a Registered Nurse in 1982 and has worked in many different nursing practices since then. Including pediatric and adult intensive care units, visiting nurse for new mothers and newborns, public health, hematology/oncology and several physician specialty practices.
She began her unique ministry career at First Congregational in 1999, and obtained a specialty certification from the Concordia University Parish Nurse Program in 2000. She has also completed training as a bereavement group therapist through Gratiot Hospice in 2002, and continues to provide guidance to people in need at groups held at our church. She has been employed at the local hospital for over 20 years, and is currently working as a Registered Nurse for physician specialists that provide care for our community.
Patrice continues to maintain certifications and licenses as a Parish Nurse, as well as several other nursing specialties, through continuing education, training and testing. She is always seeking educational opportunities and experiences that allow for growth and improvement in the care for our congregation and community.
